Welcome to Artisan Woodworking. My name is Walt Dusold, owner and operator of Artisan Woodworking. I began my career in 1977 as a carpenter’s apprentice. In 1982 I started a construction company when finding steady employment as a carpenter was say at best, difficult. My construction company was based on the same standards of craftsmanship and quality that I had been taught as an apprentice. These skills have been at the core of my mission over the past 30 plus years.
1985 when I needed to make a choice between carpentry and the growing appetite for custom cabinetry. Many of my customers wanted me to build cabinets and more elaborate built in furniture. It was my desire to refine my abilities as a wood worker and produce finer quality cabinets than where available from cabinet outlets. Therefore I opened a cabinetmaking shop, Artisan Woodworking. Over the past 25 years I have expanded our services to include custom entry door ways, interior doors and millwork, cabinetmaking, furniture making both free standing one of kind pieces, to entire wall length entertainment centers. In order to maintain the highest level of quality and craftsmanship, I hire only those people that have the same commitment to these qualities as myself. I have worked from Sturgeon Bay to Chicago, Milwaukee to Madison. I have shipped furniture as far east as Cape Cod Massachusetts and as far west as Los Angeles California. There has never been any type of wood working project that I was not able to build.
